Hi!
As I told ealier the first patrol on British coast gone very well and now I am started a second patrol to Scapa Flow. I think I have your Options view working. I can see all the tabs and values, but cant change anything. So is this a true "viewer" or can you change values within the Options viewer? EDIT: Nevermind...just found out how it works Awesome stuff TDW. |

Not exactly sure what to do with the instructions in the Dials folder "select appropriate 'Dials.dds' (or use your own!) and place in 'MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_8_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Menu\G ui'. Do this before enabling mod! If there is a folder inside called 'TDC' then you have to copy the files in that folder to 'MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_8_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Menu\G ui\TDC'. Do this before enabling mod!" I think you mean to copy the dials.dds from the zipped file, and place it in the directory stated within your MODS folding in your game directory? And when you say "If there is a folder inside called 'TDC' then you have to copy..." Inside where? The zipped file? or the folder in my MODs folder in my game drive? |

ithink he just didn`t recognised that you havent installed "SDBSM`s additional crew sounds beta" (this beta include the hotfix 3 allready).
so your question is justified...

Error messages prevent opening of SH 5
I hope SH 5 isn't trying to tell me something but I've just spent a fair amount of time reinstalling SH 5 because I had no access to my NAV MAP. Every Time I would try to access it by any means, i.e, the steering wheel icon or the F3 key on Church's keyboard it would immediately cause a CTD. Without it, of course, extended long range navigation or location was impossible. I finally gave up and went ahead with the dreaded reinstall.
Immediately after the fresh reinstall I tried the stock version with no MODS and it and the NAV map worked perfectly so I thought I would start with what seemed like the basic MOD...NewUIs_TDC_6_7_0_ByTheDarkWraith. When I tried to open the game after enabling this MOD I received the following error message; Quote:
Since I've spent more time then I care to think about trying to play SH5 over the last several weeks with out any success at all any one who can help me resolve this problem will be instantly deified into my pantheon of heros and I might even mail you a virtual case of good Mexican beer! Thanks for the new version TDW!
Couple of things I noticed: I'm playing with german sounds, but the new sounds this mod adds are in english (ship sending help messages when destroyed for example). It's a bit distracting, so could there be a german version of these sounds? Maybe Stormfly could help... Another thing is the options editor/viewer. I can't get it working, I start by selecting the location of the menu.txt and then try opening TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py but I get a error message saying: Invalid entry found. MIN value not a float. Line read was #VALUES=MIN0.0 @line number 110 Is it me or the program that is not working Otherwise it's all good |
