If you ever happen to be in the vicinity the 'Cousteau museum' at Monaco is worth a visit, with an incredible aquarium department

"Eat, drink, and be merry...." This girl's doin' it right

@ Catfish, I was heavily into skindiving many years ago and Jacques Cousteau was definitely a "hero"/role model.

Monaco's a bit out of my way, Sydney's public transport network doesn't quite reach that far. But if I can in the future I will, and also pay my respects at Princess Grace's memorial. Carol loved her.

I'm posting this here as I feel it's more appropriate in the Music Thread rather than the Movie Thread.

Not sure if it's been posted before.....

I know vienna highly esteems "The Wrecking Crew" as I'm sure other talented musicians that post here do also. Alas I'm not in that category but I give credit where credit's due.

A very informative, entertaining documentary

Quick story.

I had visited a friend in Pittsburgh when my beloved Detroit Red Wings Hockey team was playing the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2008. The Red Wings prevailed. The Pittsburgh Penguins would exact revenge the next year by defeating the Red Wings in 2009 to take the Stanley cup.

Quote : Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin would win the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the 2009 playoffs, becoming the first Russian-born player to win the trophy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Stanley_Cup_Finals

In between periods, My friend had told me about some Pittsburgh Icons. One was that on Saturday nights, everyone was home to watch " Chiller Theatre. " I'm guessing it came on later but he told me people would camp out in their back yards or sit on their back porches to watch the scary movie festival with the likes of Bella Lugosi and Boris Karloff among others .

It was hosted by a gentleman by the name of Bill Cardille or as he was affectionately known in the area, " Chilly Billy Cardilly. " Bill Cardille was I guess like the " Wolfman Jack " of his era. Bill Cardille hosted studio wrestling with another pittsburgh Icon, Wrestler Bruno Sammartino. Bill was also involved with a local news station as a reporter and also other charitable things like hosting the local affiliate of the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystropy Telethon for decades. Sadly, Bill Cardille passed away from Cancer so, Rest in Peace, Bill.

Chiller Theatre borrowed it's theme song from Henry Mancini and also jazz guitarist, Al Caiola. In another example of re-arranging a song, this is Jazz great, Al Caiola.

The Chiller Theatre version encompasses the same nuance of the song but speeded up. I love the prominent bass guitar line and wailing sax in both versions but more so in this version. By the way, that's Bill cardille seated, second from the right.
