Never the twain shall meet.

Quote:
Before the Brexit talks and politicians' soundbites come the off-the-record briefings. So, after more work to map out the UK's exit from the EU, how will the third round of talks go?
Not well, say both sides, cautioning against any big breakthroughs at the session starting on Monday.
EU officials speak of a "big gap", unlikely to be closed any time soon. The UK predicts highly technical talks, with progress coming in later sessions.
The British want to broaden the discussion to include a possible post-Brexit relationship, while the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier wants the focus to remain on his priority issues: citizens' rights, the UK's financial obligations and the Irish border.

Just in...

A key ally of Jeremy Corbyn has ruled himself out of the contest to replace Kezia Dugdale as leader of Scottish Labour.
Neil Findlay had been one of the early bookmakers' favourites to succeed Ms Dugdale, who quit the role on Tuesday evening.
But the Lothians MSP has confirmed that he will not put his name forward.

Possbly could come down to a contest between Anas Sarwar or Richard Leonard. If, as I suspect, the Unions swing in behind the latter Sarwar would find himself in some difficulty.

The candidate pool within SLab is a tad shallow.

Some Conservative backbenchers have said they do not believe Theresa May will be able to fight the next general election as prime minister.
Their comments follow Mrs May's claim she was "here for the long term".

I personally doubt she will survive long enough to see the next election but you never know really.

The DUP leader, Arlene Foster, proposed an immediate restoration of the assembly in Northern Ireland along with a parallel, time-limited process to deal with culture and language.
Mrs Foster described it as a "common-sense solution" to the ongoing political deadlock.
Sinn Féin rejected the plan and said the DUP have not addressed the cause of the assembly's collapse.

It can't be long now before direct rule from London becomes a reality.

Nah...The masses have got the three SSS's.

Sex, Sport and Soap opera's that will keep them happy.

1984 is here and now and the worst thing about it is we have bought this on our self's by letting the few with power and money to get away with it.
