Ah calling other people nazis again eh? You think people like this Gaetz are serving the american people? Get real.
This.. something is a despiccable populist like Orban, just with less power. Yet.
I think that most american people have enough of egomanic career slimers bringing the country down with their populist bullsh!t.
God knows we have enough of these a$$holes in Germany.

It seems nobody the uprising self-serving careerists do not care, in the US. China has begun to change its economy to become self-sufficient in a way that a shutoff and sanctions will not harm them as they are hitting Russia now; but I do not think a domestic market alone will alloow them to become what Xi Jin Ping obviously wants.
I do not think that domestic markets alone work in a global world. Maybe if all is in ruins ...

If the shoe fits wear it. But, it’s no worse than calling people idiots and think others should have their teeth kicked in. As I said before what happened in the house was constitutional and in accordance with the laws of the country and rules of the house, the issue was voted on by both republican AND democrat elected representatives. Such is life living in a Federal Republic.

And to be honest Gaetz is the first rep I’ve heard make it loud and clear we have a major problem with spending and debt. Now wether he can do anything about it has yet to be seen.

I did not feel addressed. I just saw a documentary in the TV and got some additional information on the 'net; maybe all that happened recently made me a bit angry.
Better someone could tickle Gaetz out of this political circus, with velvet gloves.

Btw way I wasn’t thinking ‘nazi’ that’s so cliche. I was thinking of referencing those Ossie AfD

And if it’s any consolation poor innocent representative from California McCarthy was backed by the evil populist Trump. Heheh

The republicans are rather anti-Biden than anti-Putin. The US has never been more polarized since the American Civil War, that's what makes all this new and different. When Nixon was forced out he lost the support of even his own republican party. Trump somehow still has the support of the party and base, since a lot prefer to no longer share facts anymore.

Nixon actually committed a crime and his presidency ended rather quickly because of it. Trump on the other hand is in my opinion being jammed up with endless litigation to prevent him from running and though I wouldn’t vote for Trump I don’t like how he’s being railroaded, it’s really gotten out of hand. Nobody wants Biden to run either so they go after him thanks to the connections of his crackhead son’s business dealings. Which in my opinion “The Big Guy” also profited from.

Frankly I couldn’t care less about the party drama or who the fookin house speaker is or the petty he said/she said bickering and political soap operas, that crap has been going on since the inception of this country. What I actually really honestly give an shyte about is increasing national debt, unabated immigration, inflation, rampant crime. Hoping that in between the drama somebody takes the bull by the horns and makes the corrections.

Actually his henchmen committed the crime, Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering IIRC, not Nixon himself. It was never proved that he authorized the break in or even knew of it until after the fact. Nixons "crime" was the attempted coverup and even then it was nothing criminal. The draft articles of impeachment that Congress was drafting before he resigned to avoid it were obstruction of justice, abuse of power, and contempt of Congress.

From what I understand based on the evidence the Senate was privy too it did not look good for the President so they convinced him to resign before the lower house dropped the hammer. I could be misinformed though, I was only 13 years old

I think it was also a time when people wore their big boy pants were civil and much more interested in protecting the institution and office of the presidency instead of the party. Thanks to the internet it’s all fooked up now. Now there’s European media, comedians and podcasters selling the drama.

There was that, but I think he resigned primarily because he knew that the impeachment would be successful and he didn't want to be the first US president in history kicked out of office.

NIxon and Johnson really cared about being popular (well liked) both their downfalls. If Nixon hadn't cared and been ruthless like Biden with a DOJ (Garland) in his pocket?

Even today being well liked is what’s gets you elected, nothing wrong with that. What’s crazy is the bickering over the most petty arguments, name calling and all the other bullshyte that has nothing to do with economic reality people are living in. Then of course there’s those Germans getting all cozy with Putin again which doesn’t make things any easier either.
