You didn't miss anything GT182, this post is six months old. It's another necro post that's confusing people like you into thinking you missed something recent, when it's actually something from months to a year ago.
BTW.... This was recent.... June this year, not one a year old or more. Maybe to you it's as you say but to the rest of us I don't think that's the case. And IMO your comment was uncalled for. I believe an appology to Don is in order.

Don, thanks for the update and the work you've done. More of us appreciate what you do, and the rest of the modders also, than you all might think. Some of us wish we had the talent you all have to the things you all have given to us for free. You've all made more out of the sim than anyone else could imagine. Too bad it's not appreciated by some.

kylania you have issues....there are people on this forum that aren't on it on a 24 hour day by day basis....I haven't played sh3 since february or so...which is well beyond your 6 month tolerance for "most recent posts".......

I'm trying to catch up on things here as well....so am I confused? yes....but, that is why I am on the forum to begin with....to read old outdated "necro posts" and find out what has been going on since I left....

I don't understand why you post this same response everytime someone asks a question about an old topic....its more redundant than the necro posts you dislike....

take a break sometime....they are wonderful ........

My point was proven by GT's post saying he "missed" this mod since he was away this weekend. He didn't miss anything, but bumping a six month old post made it seem that way.

You can read all the old posts you want, just keep in mind that bumping a thread which contains outdated and expired links isn't helping anyone. Either PM the mod maker and ask for an update or post a NEW thread and ask about the progress. That way information given is either updated and timely (as in donot's "I have an upgraded version here" post above) or clearly marked as old information (if donot had said, "since my eariler thread about this I updated..." or something).

I don't feel I owe donot an apology, his work (as with Tiki's!) is amazing and I've never said anything to indicate otherwise, but if he feels I owe him one, than "I'm sorry". I just don't feel that dredging up threads from four months ago with unusable links is the proper way of making updates known to recent users on an internet forum. It simply causes problems and confusion.

I'm very happy to see that you're back Tiki, I remember spending a lot of time going through older posts to find your work myself. Perhaps the answer is to stop using rapidshare for hosting (which I see you've done in other posts), now a possiblity with sites like UBRS and FileFront and others. Since rapidshare is both annoying and fleeting it should die.

You're very right, people are not here 24/7 which is why I feel it's important to keep what information is displayed here useful. A thread with live and active links about such a wonderful mod is useful. A dead thread with unuseable links in the op and first page but burried three pages deep a recent response with a good link is less useful. I guess I'm the only one that feels that way though.

I didn't say that I missed it this weekend.... I missed it when it was first posted in June 06 while I was away.

So, why take up space with new discussions on an old subject when you can add to the old subject, and have all the info from the begining found without searching back for it. There are page numbers to select so you don't have to look in every page. Or don't you have that option turned on? Makes more sense than doing a search only to find many topics where you have no clue what's in them. Then having to search each and everyone to see if it has anything to do with the new discussion. if a link is broken it's for a reason and more than likely a new link will be added.

Besides it's their option to add to a discussion, not yours or mine. Like TG says, take a break.

Outstanding work, nice to have a change of atmosphere. Now I'm waiting for Tiki to put Pinup's in the Captains Bunk.
