I have the MEP v3 atmosphere, 20 Km, and looks pretty in my GWX. The sensors work fine, too. Of course, you can change the environment via SH commander, with the same "KM" (all 8km, all 16 km, all 20 km). For example, SH5 20k water with MEP v3 20k. The sensors are the same. Regards. Fitzcarraldo

April 12, 1940, 13.40...Narvik
British TF (HMS Barham, 7 DD's) proceeding to Narvik, waiting for it at peri depth, estimated speed 20 knts Fired TII torpedo at 1200 mts distance followed by a salvo of 3 TI torpedoes Salvo missed TII torp hit Barham on bow, fire broke out, cannot estimate damage because of crash dive to escape DD's No free-cam option unchecked, so no further info about Barham After 10 mins event cam shows Waespite sinking by bow...geezzzz...ONE hit! Good job, Kaleun! However, is all this realistic? Last edited by Robin40; 01-19-11 at 05:09 AM. |

I dunno, but I had almost exactly the same experience in my last career.
Sighted that task force in the fjord heading towards Narvik, waited at periscope depth, fired all four bow tubes at the Warspite. Only one hit and I figured I'd never get a chance to finish her off because of all the DDs... but down she went. I assumed it was a lucky hit that blew up the engines or an ammo hold. |

It is quite noticeable that the Warspite is 'relatively easy' to sink......simply put it down to early war beginners luck

Help With GWX 3.2
Gentlemen,
I'm attempting to get the GWX 3.2 Mod running. I've downloaded the Gold Edition from Filefront. I have all eight files and I know that I am supposed to "run" the GWX3.exe file. All the files seem to be generic in nature, is there something special I have to do in order to "run" them? Any help would be appreciated. Sean |

Doubleclick on the GWX3.exe file. That should start the installation, and the other seven files will be accessed as needed by the installer. There have been issues in the past with Filefront not appending the .exe file extension to the GWX3.exe file when users download it, which means that when you doubleclick it Windows doesn't know what kind of file it is and asks how you want to open it. If your copy of the file is missing the extension, just rightclick on it and choose Rename and add the .exe extension to the end of the filename. Then you should be able to doubleclick it like any other .exe and the installation will start. And if privateer were here, he'd tell you to make sure you turn your volume way up when you start the installation. |

The install won't work if your volume is not set to it's loudest.
As Frau said. |

One of the things I like the best of the Installer?
The sound track. When I first sent it to be tested I told everyone to turn the volume up because it was kind of weak. But I STILL turn it up everytime I install GWX 3 It just has a certain "Feel" you don't get elsewhere. If it's your first install? You will never forget it! |

Sitting ducks
When are Allied merchants armed?
It's a beauty, although boring, to sink those sitting ducks by shelling |

Except of course for those of us who were using that file even before there was an SH3, and who know where they got it from.

Some are armed from day one of the campaign and others as the war progresses.....I wouldn't want to make it boring for you by giving specific dates.
