In today newspaper: "Gun store tracking put on hold" Visa and Mastercard have paused their decision to start categorizing purchases at gunshops; a significant win for conservative groups Second Amendment advocates who felt tracking gunship purchases would inadertantly discriminate against legal firearms purchases. The decision is a defeat for gun control groups that hoped categorization of credit/debit card purchases would allow authorities to see 'red flags' incl. mass ammo purchases before a mass shooting etc. Several gun lobby pushback and conservative politicians, incl. GOP state attorneys threatening legal action caused the pause. Visa indicated legal pushback was partially the reason for the pause. The issue is 'up in the air' at the moment inho; gun control fanatics will undoubtedly try again...

That is why you practice, practice, and then practice some more. Anything past 15 yards and I'll use a shotgun/rifle if given a choice.

Many people overestimate the spread of shotgun shot - especially if they're unfamiliar with the type of choke their shotgun may be fitted with. Just sayin'.

No worries, deer slugs don't have a "spread".

No, but I do have my eyes open in case I trip over a .22 Henry lever action.

Fun having Bud's Gun Range nearby, stopped in for a half hour to shoot this G19 I bought last October but hadn't shot. Great gun, knew from the beginning wouldn't have any problems.
I sold that G26 I had, strange gun. Made in USA Georgia, Smyrna rather than Austria. Slide was very heavy, gun seemed most manageable with an extend magazine. I kept thinking of it as a semi-fire Ingram, too heavy for conceal carry. Well I don't know about the Keltec but I am so glad I purchased this G44. Look forward to getting to the range soon after shooting the G19.

recommend me a 450 bushmaster rifle
I might be doing some wild boar hunting in Texas in the future. Anybody have a recommendation for an under $800 rifle in caliber 450 bushmaster? I'm open to single shots or bolt actions. I've watched some videos and almost every bolt action seems to have some sort of Achilles heel. The Savage scout for instance seems to have feeding issues. When I watched a video the guys all seemed to really fumble with the action as they operated the bolt to load the round. So funny that those guys made no mention of it.
I'm leaning toward the Gen I Ruger American, but I've seen some accuracy concerns.
