Do not be alarmed. France has misplaced a wheel of cheese off the coast of El Rif and the French Navy is only attempting to rescue it. There is no warmongering afoot. Once the cheese has been safely reclaimed, the French Republic shall invite all of Europe to a most glorious banquet in Madrid. Oui?

Right, let's see if this works, I've kicked the taxes up and am back in black in regards to financial health.
Of course, what comes next is complete social collapse and revolution.

Fortunately in the UK we're well versed in dealing with civil unrest:

Exactly! That reminds me, got to throw one of those prospecting parties at Australia, IIRC you have some nice gold mines down there.

Well, no profit was made this turn...but no loss either...so that's a start...

Operation Pungent Peter is being undertaken by the Channel Fleet while other naval forces are beginning to arrive in the sea of Bengal.

Meanwhile in Africa...really? A river?

Strange thing.

When our most blessed Emperor was drafting an agreement with Prussia, a strange figure appeared, wearing a strange green hat with a jumping deer sown on it and said: beware Konigsgratz

And the next day when our most blessed Emperor was drafting his agreement with France, the strange figure appeared again, but this time it said: beware Solferino

The dirty slavs are up to their dirty tricks again. We'll have to hang more of them

Prussia May 1850

The mere Audacity, the Russians declined our proposal for a state visit in an attempt to open the doors between our countries for further negotiations which we inted to be beneficial for both our great nations.
However apart from that they declined this generous and humble offer from our part they dare to insult us by calling our nation a threat to the peace.
We hope friends of Prussia takes note of this which clearly shows how the big empire of Slavs sees their European neighbours.

In other news our Economy is slow but steadily going the right dirrection we hope soon to exploit some of our resources to become a strong and healthy German nation.

We received a dispatch from Torino that the crown prince of Piemont is a spoiled ambitious brat having nightly drunken stupors shouting: RETAKE MILAN !!!!

Our Emperor in his blessed wisdom decided to sent the great general Radetzky with a quarter of the Imperial Army to the Prussian border for some exercise maneuvers. To be ready if the Italians attack. Maneuvers, nothing more.

Gott erhalte unser Kaiser

Just realised why I was making so much capital every turn.
I was selling the raw materials needed for the factories
