Yes Todd The screenshots seem to suggest otherwise though (for roundel placement and size).

But as you say, it's only an issue for those that like their simulations to have some resemblance of visual accuracy. The majority of players will still be more than happy.

Well, you did agree with me that Denis's existing models were superior.

They certainly have, but if you're gonna lie in public, you're gonna be caught out.

I think with these new aircraft I won't mind being killed by them to see what they look like (The crew shudder and make a run for the hatch, planing to join the infantry in the Russian front)

I've had to get a waterproof keyboard because during beta testing I keep drooling over the pretty planes. I've lost count of the times I've forgotten to crash dive because I'm looking at them instead of trying to survive.

(Rude and condecending comment removed) But as you say, it's only an issue for those that like their simulations to have some resemblance of visual accuracy. The majority of players will still be more than happy.

@ JSCONES

When you have 25+ aircraft models to create/edit map and skin within a set time frame - compromises have to be made, you cant get everything 100% perfect, (just try it!)
If I built them to the standards that you perhaps desire, I would still only be half way though the list. Now if i had only had to build half a dozen OR had a full time skinner helping me out, it might have been a different story.
Perfection was not quite my intention anyway, rather it was to improve the flight models to get them looking closer to Serg's and Denis's models
for that sake of consistancy, hats off to both of those said modders for raising the bar in the first place.

Denis's models are superior? - well yes he's a very talented guy
and Id agree that some of them certainly are superior, but perhaps you could try to appreciate that Denis didnt have to model 25+ planes within 6 months.. I think Denis himself will agree with me on this as he knows how time consuming 3D work can be, espcially when you have a full time job and a girlfriend to attend to.

Apart from the Rufe, I dont belive there is one plane that myself and denis have both modelled, correct me if I'm wrong here.
Personally - i will be using his aircraft in addition to our own

So to anyone else who doesnt like the appearance of the aircraft in 1.04 all I can say on my part is; Hell I tried, feel free to make your own or use the Ubi stock models.

Thats all.

Hi guys!

1. Great job on those planes. Brings so much more immersion to the game. Thank you to all involved.

2. Just a quick one: Will you also include Fw 190?

3. Kaptain, I happened to notice your harbor building textures on you plane screenshots. Are those from GWX 1.04? It seems a bit strange to me to see fuel/water tanks with brick texture. Plus on the screenshot with Arado float plane flying low over an uboat, those buildings in the background seem to have some strange texture mapping. A side of the building is brick with small windows, the other seems like having huge glass windows only. Sorry for hacking the thread. Maybe I should post these observations over PM?
