Had some trouble yesterday with driving home in a blizzard. Other than that it's a winter wonderland. Plus sunny today.

Somwething I can't say about the country. About 50 000 people lost power yesterday due to falling trees, most of the streams have flooded, nothing terrible, just some flooded basements.

Every year its the same. An alpine nation gets its first snow and everything just falls apart like it's a blizzard in Mexico.

My house is halfway up a steep hill, forested enough to prevent landslides, high enough to prevent flooding and still rocky enough to avoid raging torrents. The mountain behind that hill stops any strong winds and diverts stronger storms. My village is THE safest place in the country.

It also appears that the tomatoes may have survived the snow. The next week should be warm (as a november can get warm) and I just might get some more produce out of the garden.

Now I just have to see, if I work the next two days, so I can start cutting down some whittered trees in the garden. November is the best time to plant new siedlings. I'm thinking two cherries

It's just that we don't like big, green, tomatoes.
I reckon I'll just continue buying my tomatoes from the 'shop'

Ouch! Signal/points (switch) failure due to snow? Or driver failing to see signal due to snow?

Snow was not involved. Someone screwed up at the central switchouse.
The graffiti train, aka gomulka, broke down at the station and someone forgot to reroute the express coming up, that was suposed to start when the gomulka arrived in Ljubljana.
The signals and switches were not altered.

Maybe you can work there so that it becomes order,
