Sorry to complain, but I don't see how any of these fall into the "Realistic Photos" category.

Just my opinion.

Your confusion is understandable.

Because of the terrific graphics in this game, all screen shots are "realistic." Perhaps this thread should be renamed, or at the very least reconsidered, the Vintage Screen Shot thread.

I avidly follow both screen shot threads on this forum. Great stuff!

No, to me "realistic photo" means recreating the look and feel of the era, as opposed to 'merely' great screenshots. Other concepts include the first one of the thread, which looks like an oil-on-canvas painting. Those, I think, were the reasons for having a separate thread for that type of picture. Otherwise why bother?

But again, I'm not trying to tell anyone what I think they should or shouldn't do, just stating my opinion and excersizing my right to complain.

Ah, good point. the use of the word "photo" does distinguish this thread from the stickied thread of screen shots and videos. Perhaps it is a bit too subtle for old gamers, like myself, that have been stuck inside a tin can for too long.

Got it, I thought that this thread was supposed to have edited screenies, and the other, the unedited ones.
Probably I started this misunderstood posting some screenies that for me seemed quite real, in case that the photographer had a HD camera back in 1939
Time travel, the secret weapon of the kriegsmarine (and they just took a Hd camera??? Now I know why they lost the war )

Your point about "edited" vs "unedited" is also a good one. As I said, it was just my opinion, and I didn't take that distinction into account. Also, that's the way the SH3 'Realistic Photo' thread was done, from which this one took its cue.

On the other hand maybe I'm just whining too much.

Or "Thank you for your input. Now let's see your SH5 pictures."

I'll crawl back under my bridge now, and enjoy the lovely pictures.
