Well, most waves break quite close to shore, hence surfers, and if a submarine was that close to shore then it would be in deep trouble, and if that wave had broken like that it would have washed the entire boat onto the beach...and I think that would have made global media...so, in conclusion...

Looks like the interior of an Abrams, gunner on the right, loader on the left, and Commander behind the gunner. Usually accompanyed with the loud whine of the hydraulic systems and slightly quieter whine of the turbine.
