Screenshots are half the reason I play these games. They make for nice mementoes

*note to self - post the massive load of SHIV screenshots from my recent OM playthrough on the forum soon

Or the 'Realistic Photo' thread, which is 'only' 144 pages

SH4 also has a screenshots thread which is just as active.

Don't worry, people will be posting screenshots here until the cows come home.

Deployed towards the east coast of Britain for the first patrol:

I ran into lightly protected convoy. My novice-low-abilities crew had not managed to spot it so got a few shells in the UZO
But a well placed torpedo saved us and sank the only Swann in the neighborhood.

Then was the time to show our determination to BdU. 6 merchants without protection, no guns neither.

Though somewhat damaged, we made it alive (there were also some electrical issues on the fuse board that I wanted to show, but it was too hard to catch on screenshot).

Tommies reaction:

These are all on manual TDC, though I didnt use it. As u can see u can refer to the symbols on map, showing the position of torpedo in relation to time (there could be symbols for ships position too, but I think theyre enabled on automatic only):

Quite nice

Though it's obvious some stuff is not yet implemented. Read: all the missing keys and GUI elements, even the "poster" of your choice in the captains place that devs spoke about
Im nearly sure theres something to be added with patches.

Das Boot moment. Sitting in the bottom, main pump destroyed, diesel propulsion gone and destroyers circling above. Another day in the office.
