It hit the destroyer... thankfully... skimmed past the back end of conning tower. I was moving at flank to get out of the destroyers way and then, I remembered the torpedo was out there... and I was like "Oh feck!!! ALL STOP ALLSTOP!!"

You should have seen me stabbing the all stop button. lol

The engines halted on U-168... and the torpedo merrily locked onto the destroyer again, chased him for a bit, then boom!

GWX testing can be hazardous to your nerves! :rotfl:

Insane....in that pic, it's so close to you that even stopped, I figured that you'd set of the mag pistol as it passed over your stern. Do uboats trigger the mag det?

Oh yes, I was rather fortunate there with the mag torpedo, probably helped I'd gained a slight amount of depth.

It is hard not to enjoy the simple pleasure of burning up fuel and time chasing down neutral hydrophone contacts

Sink the bitch. Might be neutral, but you've earned the right to kill it.

The armed tramp steamer was something of a surprise. Both hit, neither went down.

That's... strange, especially since there's a gaping hole in the side.

Those holes in the side of your sub... Did your own torpedoes hit you or have the british navy armed even the smallest cargo ships with 200mm guns?
