Default not even close

Actually the view is cropped: the picture perspective is thus thrown off. note the flacktower shadow from a steep 'noonish' sun angle without a corresponding one from the supposedly close strafing fighter. He's not that close; moreover his nose line from the eppenage (tail) to prop hub is decidedly up 10-15 degrees and he can roll right to boot. A footnote also considers: "The original caption identifies this tower as a "flak tower". However, it resembles more a normal French water tower. Also no guns are visible, leading to the conclusion that the original caption was a misprint."

MY bad but Technically people don't care as one of the top 25 alltime selling albums (and still making money in the latest reissue proves) 1973's The Dark Side of the Moon-Pink Floyd With very kool album photo!

Not sure which is more worrying when swimming offshore, this pussycat or a shark.

They're called "Turkduva" here. Last time I saw one was a couple of years ago.

You know, I've been to Bovington on three separate occasions (the last time over 30 years ago) and I don't recall seeing an Ostwind there

Your photo Jamie, reminded me of the fact.

Sadly AFAIK there are none preserved, there's only one Wirbelwind and that's at CFB Borden in Ontario, Canada, and only a turret exists of a Kugelblitz. I guess SPAAGs were not a high priority for preservation at wars end.

Bit of a shame (regarding preservation) but you're probably correct
