Marco here from the Netherlands. I joined subsim because it makes SH5 worth playing! I am intrigued by subs ever since i was a lad and played Silent Service and SH3 for countless hours. This community is invaluable when someone really wants to experience a subsim. Grateful me!

Hello all! Was looking at Steam for a new game and stumbled across Silent Hunter 3. Had played a lot of sub sims years ago (had virtually all of them made for the Atari ST) and decided to get the latest, Silent Hunter 5. And quickly found out about SUBSIM so joined here. Lots of mods for SH5, and many seem to be necessary to patch over the rough parts of the vanilla game. I've played Europa Barbarorum (total conversion mod of Rome Total War) and toyed with its mods (which are mods of a huge mod ) so I'm a bit familiar with doing that. So many mods, not sure which I should use. Still looking to find a good mod collection pack.
