Thanks for the welcome.
Well, it appears to have fixed itself. I just tried it again and nothing was wrong, thanks for the help though. |

Thanks for welcome, Arclight. Here is one link to what I am experiencing. I do indeed have 22" Viewsonic. I so not know what they are referencing for a PE3 file. Anyone? What card are you using? Zotac 9800GT x2 What version of the game are you running? 1.5 What driver version are you running? 195.62 Are you using Nhancer? Yes am I am running the suggestions found in the SH3/SH4 Nvidia tweak thread. Found this too. File link does not work anymore. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1753 |

PE3 stands for Pacific Environments 3.

Could either try disabling it, or enabling the #1 part of the mod first.

Vanilla anyone?
Hey Arclight, I finally had the chance to try the file to get the blocky fire and oil to go away, it did not work. I went into port and exited the program, and installed the mod. Restarted the game, went to gunnery school and the blocks were still there. I then exited Sh4, took all mods off, started SH4, and went to gunnery school and shot some holes in a freighter. Bingo, great fire and smoke!
So, now I am going to install the mods one by one and see which one is causing the problem. The saga continues....... |

Step by step, process of elimination.
If you need any help, you know where to look.

Ehm... think I had it installed before moving to Win7 beta. Didn't experience any issues, but I'm sure there are more knowledable people around to answer this.

Am running WinXP and have been running SP3 since Bill and his gang put it on D/L. Seems like a long time ago, but anyway I've never noticed any problems. Win 7 on the very near agenda though. If they say SH5 is recommended to be run with SP3 then I guess that's what they mean, eh. SP3 or no SP3 after UBI's extremely stupid idea of OSP, I will not be finding out whether or not SH5 needs it or not. But good luck to you Gunfighter.

I'm using XP Home with SP3 since it came out and have no problems whatsoever in any aspect of my computing. If you are skeptical just clone your C drive and park it some where, as I put it on a hidden partition on another drive. Play with SP3 and should you not care for it, VOILA you can be back where you were in 10 minutes or less. |
