Has anyone also considered where that smoke is coming from?

The only thing I can "explain" is the plane: It has cought fire, perhaps as phosphorus grenade has hit the tale.

Yeah, I realised that was fire... but no smoke. Also a couple of the ships are moving at speed but aren't smoking.

The ship on the far right side does dmoke, but it's hard to see. Do you know if that's an early screenshot? Perhaps some of the graphic effects did not work properly.

The two wisps of cloud in that circle are probably from the battleship's guns.

As for the "2", it's probably a debugging thing. That, or we can see tags over ships now, which'd be nice for the lower realism settings.

I'm sure the devs would get quite a kick out of reading some of these posts. The way we're dissecting the screenshots, edited or otherwise, like they're forensic evidence from a crime scene.

Great now I've got the theme song of CSI Miami stuck in my head:"Won't get fooled again". Thank you very much flintlock!:p

Safe-Keeper [Smattering pipe]: Yes, my dear Hyperion, it is now obvious to me that, her alibi nonwithstanding, the BB Kobe did indeed down the fighters present on that fateful day.
Hyperion: But why, Safe-Keeper?
Safe-Keeper: Elementary, my dear Hyperion. If you notice the floating "2"...

And so on. Now we only need to make the arrest and buy more tobacco for my pipe.

I see it now... CLUE - The 40's Pacific Version.

USS Avenger
did it. In the Coral Sea. With the candlestick. Did I win?

At least we're not playing the navy version of Betrayal at House on the Hill. I hate it when my sub triggers the Haunt by entering the wrong patrol zone and activating one too many Omen cards, and it turns out my escorting Destroyer is in reality a Haunt, piloted by a werewolf bent on sub destruction.

Well, I'd think as with every traditional mystery, the culprit was the butler :p

Is it just me, or does it seem like the SH4 lads who take these pics has a good way of getting themselves into a whole shipload of problems most of the time....I mean, surfaced in the middle of a big BB convoy.....
