I can appreciate that. Many of the stock models are just too simplistic, but when I tried to tweak the skins to make them look most used and abused I struggled because of the way the stock artfiles are used for more than one area.

Not like making skins for airplanes where the worst thing might be a mirrored skin where the both sides of the fuselage or the wings may share the same artfile.

Hi mate,

Yes i understand what you mean about the way the UVW layout was done but i think that you will love to play with our mod after release since all UVW layout are re done and it is a breeze to paint on them.

Best regards Hans

Yes like Hans has mentioned the stock UV's are a nightmare. But HAHD models will all be reworked with complete new UV's for every section - so that means Hulls will have both sides separated

Also once we release the Mod, we will be making the PSD Templates available so everyone will be free to create new skins for the Fleet.

Here is an example of one of the HAHD Trawlers PSD Templates.

All that remain is to Colour it in

Default Wip Typ VIIC

Hi shipmates,

Finally the work horse of the Kriegsmarine is now in full swing, no U-boat in any game ever made will come close to the historical precision and detail then the HAHD one.

All boat in HAHD are model using cross sections plan when available to ensure precise hull shape here what a cross section plan look like :

Here you can see various cross section applied to the side of the hull showing you how precise the model is :

Here a side view of typVIIC:

2 views from the bow :

I even re model the anchor the HAHD standard:

To show the amount of detail here you can see the welding lines on the pressure hull :

Here you have some deck views :

Here is some conning tower views :

Here you can see the flood holes with inside cross plating :

And to finish a stern view :

If we have enough time we might include enhanced version of DD open hatch and Flakmonkey new interior + as a bonus the new torpedoes room for it and of course all texture rework the HAHD way!
Best regards Hans

An incredible way to start my day!

It's amazing how smooth the Boot looks. The lines and shapes of the hull and every other part is quite symmetrical and organic!

It feels smooth just by looking at it.

I'm looking forward to the other boot types!

Cheers mate!

They didn't predict the end of the world, they predicted HAHD, and started counting down. Either that or they knew we wouldn't need a calendar after HAHD is released

Hi mate,

Since it is only a wip this boat will change a lot toward final stage.

I will model the oil canning effect to the hull and saddle tank this will make the boat look like it did a couple of deep dive.

Best regards Hans
