But I wouldn't know exactly what defines a hires skin

I think for SH4 2048x2048 is fine.

Those look quite nice. I tend to favor the plain worn look myself.

Rusty U-boat, fantastic... Maybe rusty and a little bit covered with algea. I saw this in some addon for SH3.

I found on my pc some Koons and CapZap`s skins for VII and IX from SH3. But I have no idea how to upload to subsim.
So if you would like to see let me know how to do that
