Aircraft Radar seems not to be working. I hadn't got a single Aircraft report by Radarman until now, though there are lots of Japanese aircrafts that attack me. They're always spottet by the deckwatch, which is often to late.

The 3m15s rule would only apply if the old ruler bug is still present. We don't know.

But considering the plethora of legacy bugs that SHIV brought onboard, I wouldn't be surprised if it is still here.

Not bugs but my thoughts.......:hmm:
*Why isn´t there any info. about the different SUBS depht limits and other things?
When I start a campaign I would like to have some info about the SUB of my choise. There should be a pic. of the sub and info about it!!
I managed to dive my Salomon to 325ft. Think it´s limit is 250ft.(test depth)
*The manual is wrong about lots of things. Ex. It says that the depthgauge shows green and red. Mine is black. How will I know my dephtlimit?
*In the museum I can only watch American ships.(Or I´m doing something wrong.)

Problem with sound.I can only hear my crew whispering the orders.I have to turn music and sound effects completely down to hear them repeating the orders or informing me of anything.

Also 1st patrol from Pearl to Japan to Patrol outside of the big island.I patrol the area for a day or so and still the log showed incomplete.

At night I entered Tokyo bay,sank 1 carrier using 4 fishes,I fired another 2 fishes to a second carrier,hit it but nothing happened.

The rest 10 fishes went on 2 battleships.Each one required 5 fishes to sunk.

The second carrier that took 2 fishes but sustained no obvious damage,I surfaced and expended all my gun ammunition on it.But still nothing happened.

So I left.I returned to my patrol area for another 24 hours but still "incomplete" message on the patrol log.

Shoot down 3 airplanes and a fish boat managed to sank alone by running ashore.

After all these I returned to Pearl.

Also is there any key or option to end the mission and return to base like on SH3.Because it is very annoying even in TC 3000 to return all the way back from Tokyo to Pearl.

Final thing I don't know if it is a bug,when I started the game for the 1st time,I set in the Options screen Unlimited Fuel and Unlimited battery on and Event Camera On.

When I played School missions or the quick game missions all three were on.

When I started my career only the Unlimited Fuel was on.Unlimited battery and event camera off.And I can't find a way to turn it back on from the ingame menu when sailing the sub (only sound and graphics options).

I am having a bit of trouble with the insta-crashing depth gauge too. But Im running METRIC O.o

go figure.

It appears neither the game nor the patch were properly tested.....it looks as the peeps here at subsim are doing the beta-or even alpha- testing for the game.

I AM glad that there is a new subsim, but this product is raw to say the least....I know that I was a little milder in my conclusions earlier, but this 'sim' definitely has a lot more rough edges to it that it's older brother....

I'll take out my frustration on a couple of harmless yonks...

Since 1.1 my dive planes no longer lower so diving is very slow now .There is no sign of any damage to anything on the sub either .
Anyone else got this?

Heh that would be quite a game killer - not being able to control the depth. However it is not a bug in SH4 - it is a bug with the Modified Key Commands and compatibility with 1.01 - remove the mod and control your depth again.

The gun range from the gunsight is still metric and it moves far too slow in contrast to the horizontal movement of the sight.

The AA machine guns view still gets blocked with the wall when aiming high in some directions.

I did have one CTD while on the map with a closing ship and increasing TC and a few MAJOR slowdowns while having looking at some ships in periscope view. Maybe related to invisible blocks, didn't notice them but didn't looked for them either, just moved my view to some other ship.

The recognition manual that comes with some versions of the game have a bit more info on all ships and subs. For example, they include lengths, speeds and for subs range, torp tubes etc. (all in metric though!)

As for dive depth what do you want to happen if you dive past the test depth?

Yes the manual has a few problems....

For test depths, you could try using your memory

In principle this could be modded in (if it's not patched) although looking at the dials it seems there is only one set for all subs at the moment, so that might make it a bit tricky to be sub specific.

Yes you're doing something wrong...

There is a menu at the top - move your mouse up from there and hover, an additional bit of the menu will drop down allowing the selection of vessels by country and type.
