Default Magnetic Detonators (TWoS) issue

Ahoy all.
I have a question regarding magnetic detonators. I am running the latest TWoS version. I have tried to use torpedoes with magnetic detonators a few times now, but every time they just fly right under the keel of the ships and never detonate. I have tried to launch torpedoes which go anywhere from 0.5-2.5 meters below the keel, without results. Yes, magnetic detonators have been switched on. How can I fix this issue?

Thank you in advance

P.S.
I am running the Steam version of the game

I'm assuming you're playing the campaign. What year are you and what was the weather and waves like? Keyword "torpedo crisis".

From the summer of 1940, the G7 torpedo was considered usable in war and was fully used again from 1941.

I tried doing this during the Coastal Waters Campaign (the first one) and the in the summer of 1940, during the Happy Times Campaign (the second one). I have modded the game to allow me to use the TIII torpedoes early (I am not a hardcore SH5 player I know). The waves were not high, with wind speeds less than 6 m/s.

But since you are asking about the period when I was attempting to use the magnetic detonator, is it correct to assume that TDW's patches, which are a part of TWoS of course, fixing the magnetic detonators only do so during a specific period of the war?
