A Painted Ocean: A frigate simulation Demo
A Painted Ocean demo. Here a simulation for those who love sailing square rigs. This frigate demo demonstrates some convincing square rig physics. In the model you set and control individual sails and rigging. I put it through various points of sail and polar diagrammed- think it's just great. ( I posted under Glenn Cook). I think it's quite good and I do hope this project goes forward. Check it out! -Vox

According to Neil Thapen (developer) this simulation project was started in 2011. He built this prototype demo with Unity, Wings3D, Audacity, and Gimp. The download is only 130 MB. It runs fine for me on Windows 7 and 10 64 bit desktops with nVidia graphics cards.
