Old Salt Returns (oops) and 1 Question

I have recently returned to SHIII after 2-3 years hiatus, and several of you have been very helpful with ideas for the best current mods.

I find myself getting back up to speed quickly... still, a few kinks to remember...

1) There is no BF10.

2) But there is land in AM34.

3) Tribals are very tribal... still don't play well with others.

A question

1) Was there ever a fatigue model developed that modeled general tiredness of crew over a period of weeks (the edge going off, etc), but did not require the picky hourly micromanaging of the stock or NYGM fatigue models. In other words, one that modeled the tiredness, irritability of a crew at long hard conditions? I can't find one through searching, and wondered if it was developed.

Welcome back!

I do not remember if one was made or not. SH3 Commander has 5 different ones included. I can't remember what the Rub one does though, and the manual doesn't say either.

The RUB is supposed to mimic battle fatigue. The crew very gradually get more and more tired, but they don't recover. So when their fatigue is low, it's time for base.

Thanks Badwolf and HW3.. I will check to ensure RUB does not conflict with GWX and try it on the next career.

I see, too, some things have not changed. I just whanged seven cannon shots under the waterline on an ore carrier. Broad daylight. Calm seas. Sank like a sleeping baby... but did I get credit?

At least it was only cannon shot and not a torpedo. Life in the Hebrides.

Default *** in words

#@$%&)+#$%!!!

Is pretty much how I react when I open the O scope and see a Clemson Class about 500 M behind me, angry.

Anyway, recently, I thew some *** into a word in a post about new happenings here on the forum. Another player reminded me that if we have to disguise a word, we shouldn't use it at all.

Fair enough.. I apologize to you all.

Thanks, COB.... but whereas I went on only to play the game, you helped reinvent it.

If you use SH3 Commander you can select the RUB fatigue and it will not conflict with GWX.
