Good day
Hello there, gentlemen.
To start off, allow me to say how amazed I was that there is such a massive community surrounding the sub-sim genre here, because- to be honest, I wasn't really aware of the existence of the genre, but I've always liked 'realistic' games and games that offered me a great deal of freedom instead of being linear, as well as games in which stealth and cunning are a requirement. My ignorance came to an end when I came across j2jonjeremy's 'Let's Play SH V' videos and later also effingcontroller's 'Let's Play SH IV' videos on youtube, which I think are a great deal of fun to watch as well as educational. Both games seem awesome. So, here I sit, torn between whether I should buy SH IV or SH V, any advice guys? I look forward to learning a lot from you guys and being part of the community. Cheers, and safe stalking. :p TLDR: Hi, I'm ShellofLight, and I haven't played any subsims yet, but I'm definitely going to, either SH IV or SH V. |

I'm guessing V though, from what I've seen so far, though I'll probably end up getting them both. Thank you! |

Both good games with the mods added but also try SH3 as it has a different approach to the campaign |

My advice: Buy SH3 and install GWX. This game is simply awesome and the best place to start. Buy SH4 and SH5 too - so you have them handy when you feel it's time for something new...
