[WIP] HMS Vanguard

I haven`t made something new in quite a while. I`ve been busy updating the Montana and finding the cause for the ctd`s when using the playable Richelieu. Don`t worry, I found it.

My newest invention is the HMS Vanguard. Before you say she was finished after the war. I know.

I start with a new loading screen when starting the game, here it is:

I also included new loading screens when starting a mission. The loading screens are pictures I found of the Vanguard, one or two is actually paintings.

I made the Vanguard by using parts from the KGV and the Cleveland with rescaled and modified superstructure.

I also increased the deck gun crew and included a drawing from Shipbucket of the Vanguard for ships silhuett as seen here:

The ships comes with many quad 40mm Bofors and 20mm Oerlikons as well as a new and improved 15 inch guns. The last British ships I made such as the Renown a while back had guns from SH3. I did something new with the 15 inch guns. Instead of having a .sim file I included the weapon control in the .dat file, one for each barrel. Now each barrel can fire and elevate independent from each other. The turrets still rotates and operates the same way as the normal setup.

I do know about the black turrets, they were using stock textures that didn`t show up in game. I will include new textures that will work.

Looks nice so far, but I think you're a little short on crew.

Just a little? That`s the crew you start with. You can choose who you want in the open spaces.

I know. I was just joking about the fact that the real Vanguard carried almost 2000 crewmembers. I know there's no way to do that in the game, and the captain wouldn't know most of the personally anyway.

I just thought it was funny.

That`s why I said "just a little?" That joke has survived for many years. Still not getting old.

She is nearing completion. I just need to thest here more, same goes for the Richelieu. I know they work, they fight and they sink when taking many high calibre hits. I just need to do what I didn`t with the H-39. Do a thorough test, see what should be imroved.

Thanks. I feel that the maximum punishment of 21 years in prison isn`t enough for killing 93 people. Especially when considering that Norwegian prisons is like a five star hotel with housearrest.

Textures has been applied successfully. New picture showing the texture and the playable turret has one barrel elevated in post #1.

Yeah i agree.
Here in The Netherlands we can give life in prison and thats really for life. but it almost never happens or parole after 25 years.

I think he will get murdered in prison or something.

I really respect the Norway People that the all got to the memorial it was on the news.
