@pditty8811

I am pretty sure that WAC has one of the most biggest campaign files for Sh3 around as I added so much historical events.. much more than GWx because it was a main target to get almost all events for Sh3.
I added events over several months...
Tirpitz, Scharnhorst, etc. big events for big warships are included!

I created my own Tirpitz demise. I added it to a SCR campaign but its currupt now. I guess I have some model conflicts hard to fix btw.

I made a couple bombs in bombs.dat in Library. I didnt change the models, cuz I don't know how to do that stuff. But I made the big bombs, essentially simulating the huge bombs the Brits used on the Tirpitz, explosion proportionate to weight.
Hence the warning that adding details isn't all that hard but ensuring they are compatable with everything already in before their inclusion can be a right royal PITA

I noticed the Tirpitz in the WAC 4.1 campaign SCR is in the wrong place.

Does WAC strive for historical accuracy?

What road is that?

This is a serious matter for me because I would hate spending the next year fixing campaign SCR files to be historical.

Can I rely on WAC campaign SCR? Or should I go with GWX or something else?

Have a look at both versions and decide what you consider to be the closest to your needs but I would strongly advise you to use the supermod of your chosen option otherwise you could well spend the next year trying to fix/get it to work.

If you do add to said Campaign layer then ensure the models you add do not conflict with whatever is already contained within the supermod of your choice.

Would he need permission to alter/mod these files from any given super mod?
Sorry for sticking my nose into things.
I take it he can modify but not release? W/o the proper permissions and credits?

Well that is my understanding of the etiquette around these parts.

In game, the largest convoy I came across was about a little over 20 ships.

Historically, average size convoys were about 40 ships: Some as small as 2 ships only; commonly around 10-20; the largest was said to be 150, but I think the game will crash if you got a convoy that big in front of you.

The 'Greatest convoy battle' to have taken place was said to be that of Convoys HX 229/SC 122. HX 229 had about 40 ships and SC 122 had 60.
38 U-boats were reported to have engaged these two convoys in immediate area.

anyway, hope this helped,

this old trad looks the right place for the question.

If i took campaing files from WAC to make a restricted campaing (emplying it in the same wac version). I mean, i go to mission editor x2, take for example scripted file. One of 2, or i select units in indic sea and mediterrean and erase it or i select units designed only earliers 1941 (this is not so simple). Any way i chose one by one and erase it. ok?

i know the editor ir tricky and as all the things shoud fail. But is posible to make a massive erase of units from files without of making a broken file?

@Aquelarrefox

Of course it is possible to delete as many units as you want and then save the campaign as campaign for a restricted timeline or a special area.

trying to understand the ccom system y found a posible way to have modeled all flotillas, and manage slited campaing files, as i see improving performance a lot. no so complex but employing sh3commander, but you should carefully enable and desenable the flotillas mod to avoid breaks.

3 mod could cover 17 of 16 flotillas (even spliting mounson in 2 waves as it was made, only joining 12 and 33 like transference). Even if you wish could load fullcamping all of you wish to patrol in a noncover region by your flotilla

Splited camping files could cointain probable 50% less units exept the flottilas than run along all the war. Basicly is a mix of reduced campaing and alternative flotilla from gxw and the "testing ship flotilla" of ccom. I think the reduction of the number of units should be enormus performance bruch.
