This is the only game or app where i experience any problems.
Did this game not experience memory leakage causing crashing?
This only happens when looking through a scope or binocs or a slit viewsight buttoned up in the tank. Tried different settings invince or not high or low and even windowed and same blue screen.
Makes it hard to play.
Just a guess but the views you have problems with are the views that use an alfa DDS file (32bit 8A8R8G8B )that is unique to those views only. My be your videocard, or ist's settings when it comes to overlay. Just guessing though.

I thought that error code looked awfully familiar.
(http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/arch.../t-147585.html)
This was from way back when I tried to play Steel Fury and it would BSOD on me at random times. It turns out that my processor didn't have the proper instructions (it says that it requires SSE instructions to run properly in the manual) not the mismatched memory I thought it was in that post.

But rowdied, I assure you it's not your processor, I run a c2duo on my machine and it has no problems at all.
I'm no computer tech but I hope I helped you figure this out in some way.
Have you tried reinstalling it? You never know if something may have been corrupted in your install.

You can try the unofficial patch: http://rapidshare.com/files/236418207/patchTvsT_v_1.zip

Also, just out of curiosity, can you check the date of your TvsT.exe? Mine is August 1 2008. I don't remember where but I've read that there are 2 different versions of the game on the market and one (older) has problems, not sure if it's true or what.

long time ago i read something about a sound bug in the Lighthouse Forum

maybe you need to update your sound-drivers or
eventually you need to switch off sound hardware acceleration

This is how to do (translated by google)

Typing Start-> Run-> dxdiag

On the Sound tab, the current sound settings are displayed, and you can test DirectSound.

The slider for setting the sound hardware acceleration is used to correct audio glitches that might be caused by some audio drivers. The best way to troubleshoot DirectSound audio problems is to reduce the acceleration by one notch and re-testing the application. Lowering the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level from the default "full acceleration" may lead to non-functioning of advanced audio processing techniques such as 3D spatialization.
