Just started playing SH3 again. Loving your mod! Great job!

Quick question, do I always have to start with the training flotilla or can I start right up with a regular one? Using SH3 Commander, it only lets me pick my sub if I choose the training flotilla. If I pick another flotilla, the sub selections is blank.

Thanks!

Yes, you have always to perform the training flotilla before asking for transfert to regular one. Even with SH3 commander.
As well as for changing sub, you must train at least once before using it in regular flotilla.

More a technical question, if someone could provide an answer:

With the exact same video settings, i have a perfect image with ARB widegui, while The 2 widegui provided by LSH3 give me a slightly blurry image ingame...

I’m running 1920X1080, and I’ve set everything as recommended by THEBERBSTER.

What could make such difference just with the widegui?
Is there any video settings inside them?
(I can live with nice ARB, no problem, but some LSH3 interface features are missing)

ÉDIT: tried old drivers recommended by Urmel, changed the main Cfg video reso accordingly to no avail...still blurry.
Only Anherbe and ARB gui gives clean and neat image.

Hello dear Subsim community

After a very long time I would like to report back here again.
THANKS The Berbster, for everything you do to keep LSH3 alive!
And also THANKS to everyone else who writes here for us (LSH3 Germany and Switzerland)!

FiFi, in fact our LSH3 widescreen mod is only 1024x768px capable.
Higher resolution is only achieved with software. Pixel / image always remains 1024x768.
Therefore, it is obvious that newer GUI mods (1920X1080px) also perform better images.

The second topic is ... what's being recorded!

Playing and seeing is one thing - recording on video (and posting) is another topic.

At SH3, all of this comes together.

For example, FRAPS is an old Windows XP program, but it does exactly what you see!

Regardless of whether extrapolated Windows GUI resolution. 1: 1 is recorded.

Has anyone tried the old FRAPS?

Hello Maximus

of course this has to be asked here!

Another full version has been worked on since LSH3 Edition 2015.

We have all stopped working on it since 2017/18.

Today there is a full version as of 2018 - which has never been published.

Now i try to fix all Probs... to release it!

Thanks FiFi

That is nice but of course not that easy - otherwise I would have published LSH3 V20 + a long time ago.

In order to publish the Verion, which has been ready for 2 years, I have to get two people together again.

Remember, this last LSH3 version has to work until and with SH3 2020 and all windows.

Well, why all windows?... nowadays just Windows 10 is enough!
In this latest version, did you changed the U-Boats external looking for a better one? (Like those in German Compilation or WAC5)
Asking just because it might be the only thing missing

Hi all,

Is there a way to make promotions and medals harder to get in this fantastic mod?
I guess editing the Cfg Basic file?...or maybe a mod existing?

Hi Fifi
Are you using these settings?

You can manage your crew here.

Yes Peter, exactly those settings.
I know i can give medals via the SH3 Commander, and follow the accurate way of earning medals...but it’s available only for the crew!...not for myself

In fact was asking because i receive medals too easily for my taste (Myself not the crew)
And i think only way to reduce it, is to edit Cfg Basic file.
I had a look in Ccom Basic file, and settings are quite different from LSH3, even if those 2 mods are very similar (due to same creator), and if i recall well, in Ccom the medals i got there were quite at a lower rate...so i may try to import Ccom settings (only for medals/promotions/renown)
Or even increase them
