Default A few questions about the game to those who already own it

Well, since the game costs somewhat a "pretty penny" at this point, I wanted to ask about the features.

1) How deep and compreensive is the unit/weapons roster? I know I'll probably get all the major countries and their ships/systems.
But what about lesser ones? For example East Germany, Brazil, Poland, Malaysia, Sweden? Are they and their weapon systems represented in full?
How many (and which) countries and their navies are represented in the game?

2) Are the near-future ship designs available? (Indian Arihant class for example?)

Ok, thanks very much for the info. Sweden's roster looks pretty comprehensive, I'm much less satisfied with what I'm seeing as far as the Indian roster is concerned.

There are definitely gaps, but compared to any over off the shelf simulation I've seen, this is by far the most comprehensive.

I've only had 90 minutes in front of my PC this week to play with Command, and I haven't even yet finished the first tutorial - so my knowledge of the sim is poor. However, given that the sim does not require 3D modelling, I would imagine that it's possible to edit the database yourself if you want to model a particular vehicle. And judging from this thread on the matrix website it would appear that getting the gaps plugged in the database via future patches will happen quite quickly.

You have forgot one important group i the Swedish navy. The substring vessel.

Such as HMS Belos, HMS Pelikanen a.s.o

The HMS Pelikanen is used in torpedo exercise and as an transport og torps in wartime

We can add these if you need them for a scenario you're working on, no problem

I haven't got the game yet, can't effort it. I just remembered a post on warsims homepage were one of the admin wrote that they would increase the database as long new thing came forward. Well it was something like that he wrote.

And when I saw the list of the Swedish navy I saw that this group was missing.

Should I get the hand of the game and I need them in making some scenarios og campaign, then I will give a call

Great

Have added these platforms to the to-do list, will add them when time permitts. If needed for a scenario we kick the request to the top of the to-do list and it gets done asap.

Thanks!

Well, you poseted "future stuff" that included several indian vessels, but I have not seen the Arihant for example, which to me is kind of a dissapointment.
But don't mind me really, I usually come off as more nagative than I really feel. The roster sounds good and if it is really as editable as people say it is, then it might all be easier to add than it seems.

Hi Ardaeshir,

From Wikipedia it seems that the Arihant class hasn't even been given a pennant number yet and details are sketchy at best. That's why it hasn't been added.

If you have good information on this class then please post up and I'll add it to the Command database.

Thanks!
