WWII ship move list??
Anyone have a list or fine one on Movies of WWII that are ship movies on the high sea's. American or German& Japan.

and also the movies page over at the fantastic Uboat.net site another great list can be found at the Archives & collections society Some of the best UK films (we were slightly involved in WWII as well!!) In Which We Serve The Cruel Sea San Demitrio London The Yangtse Incident Battle of The River Plate Sink The Bismarck Some great US Skimmer Movies... Destroyer The Enemy Below The Caine Mutiny Midway PT-109 They Were Expendable The Sea Chase one of my favourite US naval movies not WWII though.. The Sand Pebbles

I love The Sand Pebbles. Damn, I need to get some McQueen movies on DVD. Love most 'em, own none of 'em.

Yes, there is a fantastic special edition DVD of "The Sand Pebbles" loaded with extras & docs and the fansite above is a great tribute to the film.
I've recently read the McKenna novel and it's amazing how much of the book Robert Wise managed to get on the screen. Steve McQueen is at his finest here as is Richard Crenna as the ship's captain, simply superb stuff, and as for Candice Bergen ....wow! very high on my list of top naval movies.
