[REL] sort of IX Boat Mod

i have released a very simple little mod, that sort of mimicks a ix boat, for those like me who are tired of running out of fuel or torps.

Great

Also could be possible mod a VII/42 , despite this boat never went to a war patrol because was cancelled .

From u-bat.net

The VIIC/42 was designed 1942-1943 and was intended to replace the then retreating VIIC, she had a much stronger pressure hull (with plating thickness up to 28mm) and a bit better offensive punch (16 torpedoes against VIIC's 14). Her diving depth was designed to be 200 meters with 400 meters as crushing depth (VIIC figures: 100/200 meters). These boats would have been very similar in external appearance to the VIIC/41 but with two periscopes in the tower as type IX.
All contracts for the VIIC/42 U-boats were cancelled on 30 September 1943 in favour of the new Elektro Boat XXI.

Technical information for type VIIC/42

I deleted folders - NSS_Uboat7a, NSS_Uboat7b, NSS_Uboat7c and tested it too.
And now I will post it on sukhoi.ru

Thanks Trevally!

I've just intalled this mod with a new install of SH5 and started a new campaign. Installed last of all mods and it's not working. I don't even have external torpedo reserves. Is there something that needs to be changed in any CFG files? Or is another sub mod in conflict with it? They're installed before this mod.

No mega mod installed.

This is a notice from the d/l page -
Quote:
you basically have 2 internal loadings b4 you will see yourself start using your internal reserve in the torp loadout screen [on boat.]
you will not see the reserves in the bunker screen, but they are there.

My thanks Volodya, I didn't catch that when I downloaed it. I guess I was in too much of a hurry to get it downloaded and installed to use. I'll wait and see what happens.

Reinstalled SH5and this mod again. I've got the VIIC/41 with the snorkle installed too, so hopefully the extra torps will show up after a couple of RTBs. BTW... this C/41 is one awesome sub. Thre firepower is amazing.... flak guns and deck gun.

Extra reserve torps ala IX are there. Tho they are of the electric variety. Any way to change loading to the steam torps?
