Default My mod listing for GWX

And i say.. "my" very loosely, since everything here is based on work not of my orginal design. Hence i take credit for nothing, only the work it took to compile, and fit it all together to work with GWX. As i sit here bleary eyed, i really hope i havent screwed anything up as ive been trying really hard for the last couple days to finish everything up. So here it is.

(edit: and if you dont read the readme's, particuarlly when it comes to use with SH3 commander with the negative boyancy mod and AI visual revamp mods, i'll have no pity for your saved game woes)


GWX Flavored to taste - Final version:

If your using flavored to taste, you'll NEED to D/L your preference in


Uboat physics models:
(note, you can use these as stand alones but you might have to change the torpedo firing order in the cfg file if using another periscope TDC mod)

-Positive boyancy (gwx's original model with some tweaks)

- Neutral boyancy (like stock, cause you like your boat to stay put when you tell it to)

- Negative boyancy (NYGM's version, cause your feeling hardcore)
(edit: Item of note i forgot to mention - this mod will incapacite the type XXI, if you intend to use the XXI, do not use this boyancy model)

AI Visual's revamped
-if having every unit in the game with 30K max distance bothers you for whatever reason.

The NYGM fanboy mod for GWX
-combines the aformentioned NYGM AI_visuals with their negative boyancy mod into one modlet. For better effect, use in conjunction with standalone TDC or flavored to taste

Realistic embodyment mod
Cause your hardcore and don't use the external camera.
NOTE: You must be using "Flavoured to taste-FINAL" in order to use this.

Info:
It removes most shortcut keys and shortcut menu bar forcing the player to interact with the crew and move about the compartments as a real sub skipper would. You can however still "shout" commands to your crew via the officer menu on the bottom left of the UI.

Yup, no more jumping from the navigation map or control room to the attack periscope like a fart in the wind. Climb up that ladder to the conning tower captain! Want to check the captains log? its the little book on on the crew management table. Want to work out the damage control or crew assigments? You'll have to consult your charts, graphs and such at the crew management table. Want to man the hydrophones yourself? You'll have to walk over to your sonar man and tell him to shove a bun. Want to go back to the bridge after checking with the radioman? Its through the control room, and up the ladder

Now im going to contemplate if i want to do one final career game in the indian ocean or not before i jump on the SHIV bandwagon. (admittidly its cause im burnt out. I have to give sh3 some major props, its kept me occupied for umm a couple years now? RARE is the game to keep my interest that long.)

Can you use JSGME with any of these mods. Checked the nutrel bouy. read me and it did not say where to down load or JSGME compatinle. Any help would be apprec.

They're all JSGME ready. Personnaly i consider this a standard. I wont release anything that isn't. WIth any mod its easy to tell. Just look to see how the files path out when you unzip it.

It should always be something like

ModName/data/*.*

Guys, just because GWX states this is their last contribution that doesn't mean SH3 dies. There's more than enough talent assembled here on this forum to make an even better mod. It's just assembling the people and doing it that's the problem. I'm not knocking GWX as I'm a user of it and love it. But the world doesn't hang around it.
