I noticed that the GWX file Campaign_Scr list when task force will materialize. The location is given as:
[Group 374.Unit 2] Name=HMS Nelson#1 Class=BBNelson ... Long=-362133.312500 Lat=7046376.500000 ... How do you find the Long and Lat on the SH3 map? Do I have to do something on SH Editor (something I've never used)? If so, can you give me some guidance to where to look in SH3 Editor? Also, what does the following mean?: DelayMin=0 ReportPosMin=720 ReportPosProbability=25 SecondsUntilReport=-60.000000 RandStartRadius=0.000000 Thank you, BP |

The coordinates are display in the status bar of the editor. somewhere at the bottom I believe. You have to consider that 1 degree of lattitude and longitude is 120km. And the coordinates are actually in meters. So multiply with 120000 per degree. I don't remember though if East longitude or West is positive. North lattitude is positive. So that Nelson is somewhere 3 degrees 1 minute and 4 seconds (east or west) from the Prime Meridian (Greenwich), and at 58 degrees 43minute and 11.3 seconds of north lattitude.

Pisces,
Thanks, very informative. Does this than match up with Google or Yahoo or are they just related to SH3 Editor? I will say that after playing this game, I have greatly improved my math, mapping and plotting skills. Too bad I get seasick! ![]() Thanks, BP |
