Just a question before I try it.
Will those leights always be on the merchants and planes? Or will some of them also come without? And more important will the leights on planes appear first later in the war? Not sure but wasn't it around the end of 42 when it started service? |

Well in my opinion this mod, except the aircraft, is unrealistic. Merchants never had any lights on, for obvious reasons. They would become easier targets.
Of course it had to be as difficult as possible for uboats to aim at merchants, in convoys they were not even allowed to stop and pick up survivors from sinking ships, the crews were forced to watch their friends die in the water. Tough rules there... |

WOW does this mean I can all of a sudden be lit up like a x-mas tree by a diving aircraft!? sweet!
I will only install the aircraft lights though. Thx for this mod! |

Realistic or not, this mod looks fun, i can't wait to try it out. ANything that helps light up the night is helpful.
Gives a whole new meaning to "lighting up the convoy".... although thats usualy done with torpedo's |

I've had this mod for awhile and I love it. The lights on the ships add drama to night attacks and the Leigh lights are excellent.

Despite it looks great I´m considering remove the mod for the ships in my installation, because i think that for an unarmed ship at night the better thing is running away to the darkness and not switch on a search light saying "! I am here ! "
it only makes sense in the armed ships with deck guns or planes

I've been using this mod from the beginning and realism aside it's very cool to see the searchlights go on on some merchants at night pure eye candy but cool as all hell. As far as the planes go. I've yet to be attacked by planes after dark...ever. What year did ac begin flight ops during dark?
Really looking forward to the lights coming on out of nowhere at night but so far nothing.

Historically, the first successful Leigh Light attacks took place in October 1942.
The relative chance of night attacks compared to day attacks is actually the same through the entire war (which is a bit of a bummer, since you can even be hit at night in 1940 sometimes - and that's not very realistic) - but when the chances go WAY up across the board around May 1943 - you'll sure see them at night, too |

Thanks CCIP I was wondering if maybe something went sideways-I guess I've just been lucky. Most of the time I get killed by AC during the day. I usually hit high TC at night.
