Caustics gone?

Hi all,

The caustics are no longer showing up... probably due to other mod changes. Does anyone know what needs to be done to get them back again?

Some mods i've not heard of or used

I removed what i don't know about and stuff that you can add back at your leisure eg : missions after trying the above, also items that already contained the same stuff

Tip, save a 'mep' jsgme/tasks/save mod profile, copy it somewhere, open with notepad, edit as you like, make sure your cursor is at end of all your text, then save/exit

You can use this to reload an edited mod list

If the above works we can take it from there

ps : are you using an nvidia gpu ??

Hi,

Defiance, I looked over the list but did not see any "Caustics mod".

Do you have "caustics" in game now ... (shimmering light patterns on hull, and sides underwater)

Hiya,

I sure have caustics and nice vis at night in harbour too

Also, as i thought from sh4 yrs ago, i can turn off ship caustic effects in game options and they still work

That's as i'm sure the caustics in data/misc in dynenv over rides game settings (makes sense to me)

To try .................

Take dynenv out n see if caustics show, also with dynenv out of the picture enable/disable tries on games caustics

That will rule out dynenv so for me my monies on driver/nvidia as i can't see anything else that effects caustics mod-wise, might recheck but i only found the one instance

I'm up for a while yet so post back after trying

(could try vanilla too and see if caustics are working and on/off'able (what a slaughter of the queens english lol)

ps : some ships don't have caustics, think it was either them being ported from sh3 or something

That skinnied down mod loadout might fix that problem

That i would guess was newui's in the wrong sequence with a surround of gone off mod soup



Caustic quick vid in harbour



Note the ported in boat has no caustics (unless i'm more blind than i thought lol)

Defiance,

I am getting a very weak Caustic on coning tower but the caustics on the sides are gone due to Slippery/wet look from another mod.

I had created a mod awhile ago for 4 subs, very strong caustic effect.
but do not work because of other mods.

But thx for trying.
