Default SH4 Deep diving problem

Hello all,

I recently found out that it is impossible to go deeper than 503m in SH4....it wasnt funny as my Permit Class Sub crashed into an invisible bottom lol. I had no chance to surface it, i could do nothing, all controls were not working. The Hull had no damage, but i was not able to do anything with my sub.

Is there a mod that fixes this annoying problem?

In short, no. It's a hardcoded limit to keep all those ships that get sunk from taking up system resources. In all honesty though there's no need to travel that deep. 1000ft or 300m is plenty deep enough to avoid any escort and is also why I've set the limit to that in the subs I've modded.

Oh okay, thanks for the fast reply..

I just found the max depth=600 in the Permit's config and wanted to try if it can really go that deep...and boom :P
But yeah, there's no need to go that deep...
