New Silent Hunter
Maybe for the next Silent Hunter we can focus on british submarines and use the same engine as Sh5 with better gfx?

There is currently Silent Hunter Online.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=258 Don't expect anything else. Why make a new one when they haven't made one right yet?

even though they never will, I want them to attempt a modern sub like 688i, with a whole new interface that does not suck lol.

IF they were to make an SHVI then a modern subsim with nukes, Tomahawk missles and guide by wire torpedoes with their 12 mile range or whatever would be the way to go.
However I would insist that unless the game was created with no deadlines, hence it would be a finished product ( for the first time ever ) then I would not buy it straight away but would wait a year and then buy it for say 5 bucks...(or 7 pounds UK) from the basement bargain like I should have done with SH5, SH4, SH3, SH2 and even SSI's SH |

In my opinion, the way to go that route would be to take SHIV (and finish it) and add in British Subs, as well as Japanese, German subs. Similarly, the same could be done for the Atlantic. Pick your side, all sides modeled, have at it. Or my truly wet dream: A Global Silent Hunter where you could pick your side, theatre and run your career that way, whether as a German, a Brit, an American, a Jap, an Italian or whoever else had subs.
