Unternehmen Fall Weiss
In the early hours of the morning, the skies were rent by the screaming of Stukas. The luftwaffe annihilated the antiquated Polish air forces stationed in Warsaw and Brest-Litovsk, mostly on the ground, and with negligible losses to themselves. 2Polish AAF destroyed, no losses to German AAF

BLITZKRIEG!
Using previously unseen combined arms tactics, after a devastating air assault the massed German armored formations overrun the Polish cavalry division in southern Poland(O35), despite a valiant attempt to reverse the flow of time with a charge. After the overrun, infantry and armor defeat the southern polish forces in N35.

Atlantic Raiders
Two Pocket battleships independently raid the Atlantic. The Graf Spee catches a convoy and scatters it (1 transport sunk) The Scheer was spotted in the Western Approaches and chased by a squadron of British cruisers. In the fight a british cruiser and the Scheer were both damaged, and afterwards the Scheer used her superior speed to stay out of range. However the British were able to shepherd the damaged German ship onto the path of a nearby convoy that was escorted by HMS Nelson. Once the 15inch guns opened fire, the Scheer was doomed. The U-boats get off to a decent start sinking 2 transports for a total of 3 transports lost this turn

HMS Courageous
acting on an intelligence report, Kaleun Schuhart lurked just off Gibraltar and sank HMS Courageous as she was leaving port with three other carriers and some battlecruisers. Hit by two torpedoes, she sank in seventeen minutes. There was great loss of life

British Expeditionary Force deploys to France
"We'll be home by Christmas", say our lads British and Commonwealth forces take up positions in the northern sector of the Anglo-French line, largely opposite Belgium, the scene of the anticipated German assault. French mobilisation approaches full strength. Britain, Canada and Australia begin a general mobilisation of forces. Light Commonwealth forces deploy to the Mediterranean front from South Africa, Australia and India, taking up key positions on vulnerable beach areas and key ports and objectives. Soviet forces amass in the Finnish Border area.

Stalin demands the Finnish border hexes. Both sides take some losses, but after the two northern hexes were lost the Finns agreed to surrender the southern border hex.
