Default Anyone read Adm. Gallery's books?

All this talk about U-505 in 'Playing With the Enemy' reminded me of Adm. Dan Gallery, the one whose task force captured same. But how many also know he was a very funny writer?

I recall the novels 'Stand By To Start Engines', and 'Cap'n Fatso'. These and other books of Adm. Dan were what inspired me to go into humorous fiction, an all-too-rare genre today. (He also wrote some serious stuff, including his account of U-505's capture.)
