Default Known Interactions btwn ARB WideGUI and GWX

Hi again gang,

I recently installed ARB WideGUI to run alongside GWX in SH3. Working well enough, no problems. But I noticed that in the external view, the little orange indicator over my sub is back even though GWX does away with it. So my question: are there any other interactions wherein ARB rolls-back (or seems to roll-back) GWX changes that you know of?

Put another way, does ARB overwrite anything else in GWX?

Thanks Kaleuns!

ARB and any other mod will overwrite any files with the same name as the ones in the install being modded.
So yes, arb will overwrite many GWX or any other installs files. See the various folders in the ARB mod to see which ones.

Thanks!

Any idea how much this changes gameplay? I'm noticing zero days spent in port for the first time this career, immediately after installing the WideGUI, which is what prompted my question in the first place.

I do not recall any files in ARB that changes the number of days in port. You can change that figure in data/cfg/Basic in your SH3 set up. Open the "Basic" file with a text editor and scroll down to :

[TIME]
TransferFlotilla=5
NbDaysInBase=21
NbPatrolsInFlotilla=1
NbMonthsInFlotilla=0

You can change NbDaysInBase to what ever number you need.

Thanks! I'll tinker with the cfgs. I was using that as an example, and I'll note down and mention any other behaviors that seem like they are behaving like stock SH3 rather than GWX.

Thanks again!

Sorry for the delayed reply; have been away. SH3 Commander also allows one to change/fix the days spent in port, fwiw.
