Damn. I was never a fan, but very few musicians can claim to have had such a widespread and lasting impact as Phil. I bet he's embarking on an even longer and stranger trip right now.

Oof, now I'm feeling old.

There was always a soap opera backstory going on with the G.D., but Phil was always quiet. He was a nice guy.

His only instruction in bass was Jerry telling him the bass had the same tuning, but in a lower register, as the bottom four strings on a guitar.
