Default The Fighting Lady

Winner of the 1945 Oscar for best documentary, The Fighting Lady is a portrait of life onboard an unnamed US aircraft carrier (actually the Yorktown) during the war. It starts with the arrival of the airgroups on board and takes us from her transit through the Panama canal to her role in the Marianas turkey Shoot. As far as I know all the footage is genuine and taken during the action and it is fantastic and moving account of a flat top at war. Some of the combat footage is outstanding.

I'm sure this has been mentioned here before, but this is the link to the full hour long version on Youtube. Enjoy!
