Forum layout has changed.

I have just noticed that the forum layout has changed in that where there is a red tick showing that I have posted in the particular thread 2 new symbols have appeared (on some threads), one for deleted posts, and another showing the first line of text in the particular post (same as hovering mouse pointer over title).
Is there a way of turning this off?

I've noticed them tags before, one denotes deleted posts but I'm not sure what the second one denotes...sorry.

Red ticked box - you're subscribed to that thread, white label-at-an-angle-thing means that it's been tagged with key words, the other one I don't know, and the stars are the threads user-ratings.

They've been there as long as I remember - so that's at least two minutes.
