Default Automatic TDC (n00b) question.

I just bought SH5 and I have played it with 0% realism. Manual Torpedo thing off. But when I target a ship, I still have to put the information on the computer. Should it be automatic, just target a ship and torpedo hits it? When I tried to do this, the torpedo only goes where my periscope "looks", and doesn't hit the ship. Is this a bug or something? Help please!

First of all - check out this thread

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164131

This thread contains walkthroughs and tips for all variations of the TDC and targeting , both auto and manual.

The way I do it (on auto) is to lock the target , unlock and aim via the periscope at the area of the ship you want to hit and fire away.

Hope this helps matey.

As the devs have said, "Auto TDC isn't 'Automatic' anymore". You can still "point and shoot" but you have to fire when the arrow is green, not when you're looking at the ship.
