Changing draft
Hi!
Hope, anyone can help. Is it possibel to change the draft? I think the Type IX D2 is surfaced a little bit to high out of the water. |

Get S3D and open the sim file and change the Surfaced draught. Also look at the setting 'SurfaceDepth=' in the cfg file in the Sub's folder. |

Thanks a lot, Kurfuerst and Privateer! I have tried Kurfuersts link, but without success. Is there another way to get this file? Greetings.

Hi Kurfuerst,
thanks for asking. No, it doesn`t work unfortunately. I tried also to change data, how privateer wrote, but I have not so much experience with this (have succesfully changed draught with silent3ditor,but could not open cfg-file with the same program in the sub-folder) Could it be, that also the Gato/Balao-boats are also a little to much out of the water surfaced? Where else can I get your file? Greetings |

Hi and thank you all for your help. After I have also changed the cfg-file and a few prayers was my changing done. I must say, that it looks now very better than before. By the way I took the chance to let also the Gato and Balao be a little more deeper in the water surfaced. The only thing that don`t looks good in the game now is the white square on the surface, if I play american boats, when they are submerged. I have this bug after I had installed OMEGU_v300. Has anyone experiences with this problem and knows what to do?
Greetings |

OpsMonsunTypeXXI
Hi everyone,
I play SH4 Op.Monsun with OMEGU and enjoy this game. Graphics are great. Thanks to all, who have created and worked on it. There is just one thing wrong, if I take a TypeXXI-Boat: Watched from the surface while diving, the bridge-hull under water isn`t there. Had anyone the same problem? Can this be changed to normal? Otherwise the Type XXI looks really fine and this would be great, to get this bug away. |

As i recall, there's more to getting the IXD2 to riding in the water correctly than just the draft. You also have to edit the XYZ coordinates of the root node a little bit within the sub's dat file itself. It sits 0,0,0 as i recall. Take the XYZ coordinates of the root node in one of the american subs, and take those coordinates and apply it to the IXD2. I seem to recall the uboat rolling and wallowing a bit better in the waves after doing this.
