So how closely IS this engine development related to DW?
Looking at screenshots posted, it seems that this is actually a proper 32-bit-color engine (that is - it doesn't have the godawful color banding that the DW engine does in texture color transitions).
If I'm reading that right, then this is a pretty big step up from DW. Sooooo...the next natural question is...has anyone tried dropping the .DLLs (NavalSimEngine.dll, SharedDll.dll, etc) from an installation of this application over in the DW folder? Kind of a long shot, but if it works, that would improve the graphics in DW noticeably... |

When I looked at it my gut feeling was that it was DW 1.05 (alpha) adapted to DARPA's needs.

Can you check that?
I show for some .DLL versions: NavalSimEngine.dll 0.1.0.5 SharedDLL.dll 0.1.0.0 In comparison, Sub Command used: NavalSimEngine.dll 0.1.0.4 SharedDLL.dll 0.1.0.0 |

maybe those numbers are where I got DW 1.05 into my head from. If that's the case then that was a bad conclusion.

Odd. I know I posted a reply to this thread a few days ago, but I see nothing now.
Anyhow, I went and copied the aforementioned DARPA files into a "DARPA" MODS folder under DW, and then enabled via JSGME. No dice. I got as far as loading without choosing the loadout, and a CTD if I did.
