Ionian Sea Gambit - 72 randomly generated missions
Ionian Sea Gambit - 72 randomly generated missions v1.01 for DW - Reinforce Alert >=v1.51 by Puma
Difficulty: **** [Download] 72 randomly generated unique missions, maximum randomly generated tactically varied missions - different tactical situation with each mission launch, 9 controllable platforms, 8 unique missions for each controllable platform, possibility to select additional platforms according to your preferences, different operational areas, 13 different naval groups, randomly generated civilian shipping and marine fauna in the operational area, dynamic display of operational areas of individual naval groups on the map. Controllable platforms (default - a choice of platforms is available): RUSSIAN NAVY: - B-585 ST.PETERBURG - diesel-electric attack submarine CLASS LADA - K-335 GEPARD - nuclear-powered attack submarine CLASS AKULA III - B-261 NOVOROSSIYSK - diesel-electric attack submarine CLASS KILO IMPROVED - DDG-650 anti-submarine destroyer CHABANENKO CLASS UDALOY-II - Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopter operating from the multipurpose frigate ADMIRAL GORSHKOV NATO NAVY: - U-34 S184 - diesel-electric attack submarine CLASS TYPE 212A - S-525 GIANFRANCO GAZZANA PRIAROGGIA - diesel-electric attack submarine CLASS SAURO BATCH IV - F-592 multipurpose frigate CARLO MARGOTTINI CLASS BERGAMINI/FREMM - NFH-90 anti-submarine helicopter operating from the multipurpose frigate CARLO MARGOTTINI Naval Group: RUSSIAN NAVY: - COMBAT GROUP CRUISER VARYAG - COMBAT GROUP CRUISER USTINOV - COMBAT GROUP HEAVY NUCLEAR MISSILE CRUISER PYOTR VELIKIY - LARGE COMBINED GROUP OF LANDING SHIPS OF THE NORTHERN AND BALTIC FLEETS HEADING FOR THE BLACK SEA - COMBAT GROUP WITH TWO OR THREE STEREGUSHCHIY-CLASS CORVETTES - OTHER SMALL BATTLEGROUPS NATO NAVY: - FRENCH NAVY'S CHARLES DE GAULLE CARRIER STRIKE GROUP - US NAVY'S HARRY S. TRUMAN CARRIER STRIKE GROUP - USS BATAAN AMPHIBIOUS READY GROUP - LITTORAL RESPONSE GROUP NATO - AMPHIBIOUS READY GROUP NATO - CONVOY OF THREE COMMERCIAL ROMANIAN CARGO SHIPS - OTHER SMALL BATTLEGROUPS ------ Several ways to set the way you play. 1.) Default (settings) - randomly selected missions from first to last on each platform (mission number 1 to 8). 2.) Advanced settings You need to understand the workings of the simple algorithm controlling the random generation of each mission, for each controllable platform the missions are numbered from 1 to 8, their random selection is provided by three control bits - which are nothing more than three objects (Whale Humpback named ?BIT0, ?BIT1 and ?BIT2 (in the bottom left corner in the editor) taking on the value of a logical 0 or 1 depending on the setting of their probability of occurrence (object does not exist = 0, exists = 1). The default value set is of course a 50% probability of occurrence for all three control bits, which guarantees random missions generation, by setting the control bit occurrence value 0% = logical 0, the value 100% = logical 1. The control bits do not change with the selection of a particular controllable platform. Missions (numbered from 1 to 8) for any selected controllable platform are triggered when these three control bits (denoted here by ?bN(0|1)) take values: Mission 1 is run when: ?b0(0)?b1(0)?b2(0) Mission 2 is run when: ?b0(0)?b1(1)?b2(1) Mission 3 is run when: ?b0(0)?b1(0)?b2(1) Mission 4 is run when: ?b0(0)?b1(1)?b2(0) Mission 5 is run when: ?b0(1)?b1(0)?b2(0) Mission 6 is run when: ?b0(1)?b1(1)?b2(1) Mission 7 is run when: ?b0(1)?b1(0)?b2(1) Mission 8 is run when: ?b0(1)?b1(1)?b2(0) So if you are so interested in a randomly selected mission (number 1 to 8) on any controllable platform that you want to return to it and not wait for chance or play mission(s) number N first, e.g. mission 1, then mission 2, etc. for all platoforms, just memorize its number (or use the above table of control bits), which can be found in the "MISSION STATUS" menu or at the end of the mission is in the debriefing under the critical trigger - e.g. "STATUS_MISSION_L1" just set three control bits in the mission editor: ?b0(0)?b1(0)?b2(0), "STATUS_MISSION_UDALOY8" - ?b0(1)?b1(1)?b2(0), etc. If you want to return to the default settings, simply set these three driving bits back to 50% probability of occurrence and save the mission. Instructions for individual missions - a simple template of an order sent by HQ to a controllable platform by radio (submarines) or datalink (ships and helicopters) is used - template: German Navy U-34 submarine class TYPE 212 - MISSION 5 ----- RED CODE VNH2H89Y34K8ZQD934U7RE#TA CGVARYAG#SILENT SEARCH AND DESTROY#TP1 DDG-594 TRIBUTS CLASS UDALOY#TP2 SSN-561 KAZAN CLASS YASEN-I#C THE HOSTILE SIDE MUST NOT EXPOSE YOU#RECON RED - LAST 3H OLD APPROXIMATE LOCALIZATION SUB# Russia Navy Northern Fleet KA-27PL operating from the multipurpose frigate FFGH417 Admiral Gorshkov - MISSION 4 ----- ORANGE CODE 814038192729786501616114088#TA HSCTG#4 MINUTES FOR THE AIRDROP ON THE STERN OF THE SURFACED SUBMARINE OF THE CAPTAIN SUBMARINE SS-261 NOVOROSSIYSK - RETURNING FROM THE COMMAND STAFF MEETING ON THE MISSILE CRUISER USTINOV#UNFORTUNATELY YOU CAN'T VISUALLY AIRDROP ANYONE, FOLLOW THE MISSION INSTRUCTIONS - YOU MUST STAY FOR 3 MINUTES WITH THE HELICOPTER WITHIN 100 YARDS OF THE SUBMARINE AT AN ALTITUDE OF 30-100FEET#RECON BLUE - REALTIME LOCALIZATION SUB WITH DATALINK# ----- etc.. RED CODE [VERIFICATION KEY FROM HQ] - combat operation to destroy selected enemy targets ORANGE CODE [VERIFICATION KEY FROM HQ] - combat operation to locate and localize selected enemy targets TA : TARGET AREA TP(N) : TARGET PRIMARY - you must locate or destroy these selected targets to successfully complete the mission. TS(N) : TARGET SECONDARY - does not count towards mission completion. C : COMMENTARY. RECON RED : Last known position of target with maximum random error in position determination within 25000 yards (22860 meters) - applies to submarines only - explained below. Notes: - In order to be able to locate targets - submarines - in a relatively large area with some non-negligible probability approaching impossibility when playing at maximum realism (with truth off), I have used a mechanism that gives their position with maximum random error up to 25000 yards at the time of mission initiation, after which the position is not updated. - All sides start in peacetime. In addition, a wartime transition mechanism is implemented in each mission for all sides, either randomly but with unknown activation time, or randomly with unknown activation time but with a 50/50 chance of this mechanism being turned on (if implemented in a particular mission), adding another element of uncertainty to the tactical situation, or simply - no later than when the first missile is detected by either side, thus ensuring that all platforms in the mission start behaving according to wartime. - Dynamic display of operational areas of individual naval groups on the map. - In the README text file you will also find Czech descriptions. A few previews after generating a few missions, their variety is of course higher, try and see. Have fun with 72 missions with a minimum of 9 days of play.
