HMS Alliance Walkthrough
I thought this was pretty cool. I wish more museum submarines were restored to such a high degree. I never would have thought to place special transducers under the floor plates in the engine room to replicate the vibrations of the diesels.

Now that's cool
Very nice place for sub fans to visit. I was surprised to see many props/equipment left in place.
I visited the USS Pampanito, in San Francisco, which was a museum too. Nothing was left to the touch, many areas being glassed in with plexiglass so that you could not 'look around' in compartments. Nicely done British museum experience. |
