The "easy" fix is to install the Steam SH4 v1.5, aka: Uboat Missions, which will allow "auto-loading" of torps upon terminating your patrol. Otherwise, you'll have to go into the boat's torpedo room and drag a torpedo from the "stores" and into one of your tubes, which should start the rest of the process for you... Most mods are written for v1.5 anyway. It used to be possible to "update" Steams v1.3 with Ubisoft's v1.4 Update, but I haven't seen anyone do that lately. Steam will say that you are already updated to that. But game functionality doesn't reflect such...

Steam has its own set of "issues", if you will, none of which are real trouble, but can be a bother at times. Be sure and read through THEBERBSTER's thread SH4 <> TUTORIALS <> HOW TO DO IT <> INFO <> DOWNLOAD LINKS -STICKY INDEX, paying particular attention to the links marked with ">Steam user Information", which pertains particularly to the Steam game and ways to resolve or work-a-round Steam's restrictions. The main thing to watch for, if you use mods, is which folder you have the game - NOT Steam, but the game - installed to. Steam can be in the C:\ Program Files (x86) folder just fine, but Silent Hunter being below that will not allow any mods to "stick" if you go to activate them with JSGME. You can manage this with the Library in Steam or other ways...
